Durham Red, a character from 2000 AD, is a mutant vampire bounty hunter from the future. No, really. Read that sentence again if you missed a bit.

The mutation is vampirism, or rather the need to drink blood to live. Other vampiric traits are not there. Originally created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra, the story evolved through the Strontium Dog era into the far future where she had become a religious icon.

Durham Red was eventually allowed to die, and the stories finished a couple of years ago.
